About
As a Pacific Northwest native, my passion for women’s fitness ignited during my first pregnancy. I felt discouraged by the lack of knowledgeable support for expectant mothers and recognized that many women shared this frustration. This realization inspired me to create my first coaching business, creating a safe, supportive space where women could reclaim their strength, confidence, and autonomy.
Years later, as I entered perimenopause, I experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate another major life transition without clear guidance and support. This experience deepened my commitment to helping women feel informed, empowered, and supported through every stage of life, leading to the rebirth of my coaching business as Bainbridge Island Women’s Fitness.
I am currently completing my Master of Science in Exercise Science and Integrated Wellness at Bastyr University, deepening my commitment to evidence-based coaching and lifelong learning. With coaching certifications in girls’ health and performance, perinatal fitness, and menopause coaching, I am passionate about helping girls and women build strength, confidence and resilience through every stage of life.
As the mother of an active adolescent, I have personal appreciation for the unique physical, emotional, and developmental changes girls experience as they grow. My work is rooted in creating a welcoming, nurturing environment where clients–from adolescent girls to women navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause–feel supported in building strength, improving their health, and pursuing realistic, sustainable goals through functional fitness and wellness support.
Outside of coaching, I’m an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys leading women on backcountry adventures. I hold wilderness medical certifications from Backcountry Medical Guides and am passionate about helping others build confidence in the outdoors. I feel most alive when I’m trail running, mountain biking, traveling, listening to live music, reading poetry, and spending quality time with family and friends.
In Health,
Jill
